Palestinian Media Watch has been warning for years that the PA's rewarding of terrorist prisoners and the families of injured and so-called Martyrs with high monthly salaries incentivizes terror. But even PMW could not imagine that Palestinian parents would intentionally bring their children to areas of conflict so that they would be injured, and expose them to possibly a worse fate, only to get that monthly PA salary.

\n\n

Now, on PA TV, comes a shocking admission: Palestinian parents would intentionally bring their kids to the front lines of violence so that they would be injured and thus the family would get their monthly payments:

The senior Syrian journalist and researcher who exposed this went so far as to explain that this practice of sacrificing children to the point of injury and endangering their lives was due to hardship:

As horrific as it is that Palestinians did this to their children, it is equally unimaginable that a researcher at a British think tank, the Progress Center for Policies in London, and former deputy chairman of the Syrian Journalist Union would try to explain or justify parents endangering their children for financial profit.

The Palestinian Authority's highest decoration, known as the Star of Palestine, is not awarded to just anyone. Outside of Arab heads of state, this award has been given by the PA only to its closest ideological allies – all notorious dictators in the anti-Western axis: Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Nicolas Maduro, and Hugo Chavez. The award—a sign of the PA's deep ideological affinity with China, Russia, and Venezuela—has not been given by the PA to any leader of a Western democracy.

In 2017, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas awarded Chinese President Xi Jinping the Star of Palestine.

In 2012, Abbas presented Vladimir Putin with the Star of Palestine.

The awards for these two leaders of the anti-American axis is an expression of the PA's loathing for the US and is a further expression of the PA's future ideal world order in which China and Russia replace the US as the global leader. As expressed more than once by Mahmoud Abbas' senior advisor Mahmoud Al-Habbash:

Fatah General Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas Zaki worded it that China "is qualified to save humanity" from "the Zionist-American alliance" [Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki, Facebook page, April 20, 2025].

As part of the PA aspiration for a China-dominated world, Abbas has repeatedly expressed his support for China taking over Taiwan:

The additional communist dictators who received the Star of Palestine award were Venezuelan leaders Nicolas Maduro and Hugo Chávez, central actors in international smuggling and drugs in support of terrorist regimes. Maduro received it from Abbas in 2014 and Chávez was given the award on the same day as well, posthumously.

Maduro, who is currently set to be tried by the US for narco-terrorism, was celebrated by Abbas:

Absent from the PA's medal roster are the United States or other Western democracies. The pattern is clear, and these are not mere diplomatic gestures. These are declarations of ideological allegiance, which must set off alarms in those Western democracies that are considering recognizing a Palestinian state. A future Palestinian state would not be an ally of the West but would join and strengthen the anti-Western axis from day one.

Just one day after China defied and alarmed the US and the West by surrounding Taiwan with a military air and sea blockade simulation, including threats that "reunification" of Taiwan and China is "inevitable," the Palestinian Authority again showed its allegiance to the anti-US axis by declaring its support for the "One China policy:"

China's drills simulated a blockade of key ports and airspace control, involving army, navy, air force, and rocket units with live-fire as a rehearsal for isolating Taiwan in a conflict scenario.

\n\n

Taiwan's independence is not just a minor American interest but is critical for the West. Taiwan's semiconductor industry is vital to Western economic and technological security. Taiwan produces over 60% of the world's semiconductors and more than 90% of the most advanced chips, and manufactures the vast majority of leading edge logic chips that power today's AI data centers.

\n\n

The West's ability to survive and advance technologically is dependent on Taiwan remaining free. China, on the other hand, pledges to seize the free and democratic island and subjugate its people under its dictatorial Communist rule. This would enable China to appropriate its technology and achieve the global economic and military supremacy it seeks.

\n\n

Incredibly, even while the US and the West's billions of dollars in funding have kept the PA viable, the PA, as a consistent policy, has turned its back on its supporters to embrace China's goal of seizing Taiwan.

Just a week after the PA's statement above, Mahmoud Abbas received China's Special Envoy to the Middle East Zhai Jun and repeated the anti-Western policy:

This is part of a long-term PA policy of identifying with and embracing goals of the anti-American axis.

\n\n

Were China to successfully invade Taiwan, it would have a stranglehold on global computing components. It would literally control the West's source of Taiwan's technological manufacturing capabilities, potentially leading to a crippling of the supply of technology components.

\n\n

The PA's backing of China's goals for Taiwan as part of the global anti-American axis should convince the US and Western countries that the PA is not an ally, and that were a Palestinian state to be created, it would be aligned with the adversaries of the West.
