“[PA] Minister of Social Development Ahmed Majdalani called on the international partners and the civil society organizations to increase their efforts to support our people and its poor and weakened groups, to strengthen their resilience, to provide them with what is needed to live in dignity as they deserve, and to ensure that the needy will receive basic services.

During a video call that he held yesterday [Feb. 2, 2021] with new UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Palestine Lynn Hastings, Majdalani emphasized the position of our people, its leadership, and its [PA] government: no to relinquishing our legitimate rights in exchange for aid.

He expressed concern over the attempt to politicize the humanitarian aid, which harms human rights and threatens them.”
